Our Berghotel Ladinia remained Cesco's mountain cabin. As if the memory chain which unites the past with the present had never been broken.
 

A
house in the middle of an old village. One of the oldest. A view of the Sassongher. In 1930 Cesco Kostner decided to convert it into a small hotel. The oldest establishment. A piece of history which lives on today. In the creaking wood, the ornaments that talk, in the light that seeps in, delicately through the framed windows, in the feeling of warmth that you breathe. Here life is suspended, as if time had found a place to shelter. More than just a house, a retreat for body and soul. These are the elements which lead the Costa family to breathe new life into an authentic ambience, a simplicity which borders on poetry.

here are not many rooms, and they are petite, but they are all welcoming. The bathrooms are small, but provide pure water from the Dolomites. This house has everything you need to submerge yourself in a dimension without excess and bound to simplicity, but rich with emotions. Here you will find warmth, grace. In everything. In the wooden floors that crackle and have stories to tell, in the stube, in the simple décor, in the table cloths, in the fabrics and in the people who welcome you. Nothing is superfluous in this chalet, but there is a resemblance in the spirit which permeates the mountains around.


 

H
ere everything is pure. From breakfast to the Tyrolean aperitif with speck that embraces the perfume of the fields. Dinner is based on a few traditional dishes, with products from our supply chain, because here we give priority to local ingredients, in a word, the essential.

lso our wine list thinks not big, but small. Small local wineries that produce a small amount of bottles. We offer true oenological gems, that mostly derive from the Alto Adige, or other Italian regions, following the criteria: less is more. We do not even miss the Champagne on our list, which in our case comes again from a small producer who works with a big heart.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summer
 The season of the sun. From the ready fields, the woods which breathe, the mountain tops which glisten in gold. Spending the summer in a house like this one means breathing in light every moment of the day. From early morning to late night, with stars dancing in the sky. Throw yourself into days which never end, be seduced by simplicity, of things which are genuine, authentic and inviting. Strawberries, blackcurrants, raspberries, red currants, apricots, honey, home-made bread, meat, salami, local cheeses, vegetables from our land: our supply chain is short but will take you far.
 
 
Our gastronomic offer
During summer, our gastronomic offer will be extended; from June 19th to September 13th, you can dine in 4 different restaurants, two of which are open every day, choosing à la carte, all included in the price of half board. Here's what we offer:

Alpine Inn.

The Ladinia is an intriguing surprise and a fine celebration of tradition. The mountain style menu offers favourites such as the ‘Cesco’ aperitif made with Swiss Vodka, and canederlo (a traditional dumpling) with farmer’s butter and sage from the vegetable garden. A simple, welcoming setting.

Open on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, every day from August 6th to 31st from 7.00 p.m. until 9.00 p.m.

L'Murin

Tavern.

L’Murin (The Mill) is a legend in its own right! Its dishes are too! The pasta and bean soup and riblets with jacket potatoes are examples of the delights. L’Murin is an informal place - high stools and characteristic wooden chairs abound, a friendly and confidential atmosphere prevails. Enjoy our special cuisine in big or small portion selection.

Open on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evening and every day from August 8th to 30th from 7.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.

Stües

Les Stües

Neither fish nor meat.

Fresh local market vegetables and produce from our own garden are given centrestage, we keen to promote a genuine cuisine in full respect of Nature. These small and old stuben are located on the ground floor of La Perla, their interiors lined with traditional and cultural curiosities. A discreet and informal setting where neither fish nor meat is served!

Protecting the Italian heritage is our duty: be it the Norcia sausage or the Gianni D’Amato spaghetti, our effort is but a small step towards the ‘Weltethik’, contributing to a growing awareness of the beauty that lies in Italy. At the 13 tables of the Italian bistro you’ll find kindness, aromas and tastes made in Italy.

Autumn
The season of colour. The landscape becomes a palette for anyone to immerse themselves in a painting inspired by nature. Alpenglow. The mountain tops turn pink, gold and sing the music of silence. The larches change from yellow to red and flirt with the green of the pines. An unforgettable delight to be experienced and closely contemplated. Simply walking, or riding a bike. And when the sun sets behind the mountains it is good to sit at home, sipping a fragrant tea, waiting for a dinner of mushrooms, soups and dishes of the local tradition revisited.
From Wednesday to Sunday we can offer you, day by day, a full-immersion in nature thanks to a pleasant walk in the landscape of the Dolomites, you will be able to make typical products to take home with you (jam, bread, ointments) just as in days gone by, we will pick aromatic herbs, we will enjoy a convivial aperitif and after dinner we will meet to watch a film about our valleys or to plan a hike up to Col di Lana to relive the absurd great war which fought on these peaks, almost a century ago. To meet a native writer-poet, or just play board games of years gone by.
Dive into the colours of autumn, rediscover the rhythm of a slow time, become involved in the pleasure of simple things. With us.

Gastronomy
Dinner will be served in our in-house restaurant Ladinia, where you meet up to end your day and to whisper to each other the secrets of the autumnal mountain nature. The season of purity. A white cloak covering nature and the sleeping with warmth. Skiing, snow shoeing and skating become activities which warm not only the body but also the soul. Looking out of the windows, next to the ski slopes you can see the enchanted world that shines is pure happiness. Physical and mental. Regenerating and relaxing. Near a stube with a warm drink in your hands. Sitting around a table with the dark enveloping the house. Warm pleasures, to be enjoyed and shared with the people around you.

Gourmet restaurant.

Arturo Spicocchi from Ascoli, cooks up tradition and innovation in celebration of fine ingredients. Soft lights, elaborate centre-pieces , candles, and local wood panelling make this restaurant a timeless jewel. A world of elegance and finesse but also of joviality.

Coloured Stuben.

In our original Stuben you will find various tables, all splendid with authentic details of the past as coloured and hand ambroidered napkins and traditional and unusual floral arrangements. And as for the cuisine ... ? Fabrizio is able to combine simplicity of approach with Tyrolean tradition – using local produce and that of bio origin – so that he produce dishes with an intense taste plesant to the palate.
